Belief Propagation Based Joint Detection and Decoding for Resistive Random Access Memories

Despite the great promises that resistive random access memory (ReRAM) has shown as next generation of non-volatile technology, its crossbar array structure leads to a severe sneak path interference signal read back from cell. In this paper, we first propose novel belief propagation (BP) based detector for in ReRAM. Based on conditions occur and dependence states cells are involved path, Tanner graph ReRAM channel is constructed, inside which specific messages updated iteratively get better estimation affected cells. We further combine designed BP with decoder polar codes form joint decoder. Tailored over channel, effective constructed using genetic algorithm. Simulation results show can effectively detect by proposed significantly improve error rate performance
